Selena Gomez took to Instagram on Wednesday as she worked on new material in a studio, as she called herself a ‘studio diva’ in the caption.

The Good For You songstress, 26, looked to be keeping a low profile about two days after she did not attend the Met Gala in New York City Monday.

In the shot, Selena wore a black top and black cat eye sunglasses with her hair parted and pulled back.

Selena Gomez took to Instagram on Wednesday as she worked on new material in a studio, as she called herself a ‘studio diva’ in the caption.

The Texas-born beauty is ‘happy, healthy and doing great’ staying out of the limelight while she’s focusing on creating new material, a source told Entertainment Tonight Tuesday.

‘She’s happy to just be with friends,’ the source said just days after the starlet was seen with pals at Disneyland in Anaheim, California Sunday.

The insider said that while the Spring Breakers actress ‘loves what she does and … loves her fans … she doesn’t like the pressure and expectations of being under a microscope’ as an international star.

Gomez last month opened up to the Dream It Real podcast, saying she just wants someone to ‘love her for the person she is in a chat about everything from everything from therapy to having faith in love. Selena told the show’s host, Heben Nigatu, that she often feels misjudged when it comes to her heart.

Misunderstood: Selena told the show’s host, Heben Nigatu, that she often feels misjudged when it comes to her heart

‘I think that a lot of people don’t understand my heart, you know?’ she said. ‘I also don’t like that, it can sometimes be about appearance, too. I don’t really appreciate people judging me on my looks, or anything like that.’

Due to all that judgement and misunderstanding, Selena said she desires someone who will love her for who she truly is.

‘I just think that the world today, with so much exposure to everything … it’s great to dress up and to feel beautiful and to do those things, but … and I’m flattered when, maybe, guys are like, “You’re pretty,” I am, it’s just not … I would just love someone to love me for the person that I am. That’s just what’s important to me,’ she said.

Selena had a rocky 2018, with her on-again, off-again relationship with Justin Bieber officially coming to a close and the pop star getting married to model Hailey Baldwin. That split followed her relationship with Bella Hadid’s man, The Weeknd.

On top of that, the star also dealt with complications from her lupus, adding that her pals Ashley Cook, Raquelle Stevens and Courtney Lopez have been her support network in ‘multiple situations.’

Aside from her girlfriends, Selena also worked through her pain with a much needed break from fame.

‘Last year, I took a lot of time off, I think that I needed a moment to myself because I do feel like I was growing and changing,’ she said.

Despite the trials, Gomez said she’s excited for what’s next.

What friends are for: To heal, Selena revealed she relied heavily on therapy and the love of her friends as she took time off to heal

‘I’m looking forward to my album and I’m looking forward to spending time alone… I think I’m finally, finally, finally at the age where I love being alone,’ the singer admitted.

A source for Entertainment Tonight said last month that Selena is ‘in a really good place,’ and that ‘2019 is going to be a big year for Selena and her career.’

She recently teamed up with Julia Michaels in January and also created a collaboration with Balvin and Benny Blanco after that for their hit, I Can’t Get Enough.
