WARNING, NUDITY: Micro bikinis have been rising in popularity but this year the trend was taken to the extreme as models at Miami Swim Week debuted some seriously skimpy styles.
As summer gets well underway this season’s hottest beachwear trends were debuted at a racy catwalk where models risked it all to show off the most popular style of the year — the micro bikini.
Skimpy swimwear isn’t new to the fashion world, with the likes of the Kardashians flaunting their figures in increasingly tiny bikinis in recent years.
But this year the growing trend has been taken to a whole new level as dental floss bikinis took over Miami Swim Week.
The annual fashion event, which started on July 4 and runs till July 11, is known for showcasing some daring styles — but 2023 may be its most risqué year yet.
Models have been strutting down the catwalk donning G-string two-pieces, barely-there crochet sets, and completely see-through ensembles.
Some have even taken to the runway in nothing but duct tape.
The extreme micro bikinis have certainly turned heads but the racy styles aren’t for the fainthearted as the tiny pieces have already left some models suffering some awkward wardrobe malfunctions and revealing more than intended.
