JENNIE and ROSÉ of BLACKPINK: The only two K-pop female artists with #1 Solo Debuts on Billboard Global Excl. US chart

BLACKPINK’s JENNIE is achieving new impressive records daily as a solo artist on the important music platforms and music charts across the world.

On October 16, her hit “You & Me” surpassed collaborations “3D” (Jungkook with Jack Harlow) and “Seven” (Jungkook with Latto), claiming first place on the Billboard Global Excl. US chart, which is a chart that covers data collected from more than 200 regions worldwide and is determined based on music and streaming sales.

With this position reached, Jennie’s “You & Me” has broken several records, now being the solo song besides Jungkook with the highest peak reached on the Billboard Global 200 Excl. US Chart in 2023, surpassing her friend Jisoo’s “Flower” (#2), Jimin’s “Like Crazy (#2) and Taehyung’s “Slow Dancing (#3).

Without having any promotions, Jennie earned the merit of joining Rosé as the only Korean female soloists who managed to debut directly at #1 on the Billboard Global Excl. US chart. On the other hand, “You & Me” and “On The Ground” are the only solo songs (no collaborations) by a Kpop artist in history to reach the top of said chart, also granting the respective record to both members of BLACKPINK.

The successes don’t end there, as Jennie recorded her first entry in the Top10 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart with “You & me,” debuting at No. 6 and thus tying with Lisa as the highest-peaking K-pop Female Soloists on the list (excluding collaborations).
